Alok Katdare’s association with music began at a very young age. As a child performer, he gained national recognition through Kilbil, a special children’s program broadcast on Doordarshan. This early exposure laid the foundation for a lifelong relationship with music and live performance.
The Start of a Professional Career
Alok began his professional singing career in 1991. From the outset, his journey was defined by consistency, discipline, and a deep respect for musical craft. Alongside his academic background as a BSc graduate and his professional role as a Quality Control Analyst, music remained a parallel and unwavering pursuit.

His performances have taken him to audiences in the USA, UK, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and several Middle Eastern countries. One of his defining strengths is his ability to hold the stage solo for extended performances, delivering full-length concerts driven purely by vocal control and stage engagement.
